How to Email Slips Using a Microsoft App Password
Microsoft uses two-factor authentication to enhance account security; once an account uses this method the original password will no longer be accepted. What this means is that existing Microsoft account passwords will need to be replaced with Microsoft generated App Passwords when using a Microsoft email account to email recipient slips with eForms.
Here's how to do that:
- Open Microsoft's Manage App Passwords for Two-Step Verification page in an Internet browser
- Follow the instructions to create a unique App Password for the Microsoft account
- Store the App Password in a secure location for future reference
- Replace the existing email password with the new App Password wherever it is used; no other Microsoft account settings will need to be changed
And you're finished!
