Privacy and Data Confidentiality

AvanTax eForms is a desktop application which is installed to, and resides on systems under your control, as does all data created and used by AvanTax eForms. Both AvanTax eForms and its data can exist solely on systems under your control and are subject to the security policies in effect on those systems. Neither AvanTax eForms nor any data used by AvanTax eForms are hosted on any systems under our control, and they are not subject to the security policies in effect on these systems.

Our technical support team can typically resolve eForms issues by phone, email or a client initiated remote control session. On the rare occasions when the team requires a local copy of client data it will be deleted upon problem resolution. Although we do not recommend that data be sent to our technical support team via email, this data will be given the same consideration and will be deleted upon problem resolution.

AvanTax eForms will never violate the privacy or security of your data; under no circumstance will eForms share confidential information (including names, addresses and Social Insurance Numbers) with any third party. AvanTax eForms will never copy client data to our servers or host client data on them.

When emailing recipient slips, eForms Enterprise may, with your consent, collect your email address and any authentication information required to send emails from that email address. The information acquired will be used to enable eForms to access your email account and send email on your behalf. Any sensitive authentication information which is necessary for eForms to retain will be encrypted when not in use. eForms will only use the acquired data to email password protected recipient slips.

eForms will share telemetry information (such as the eForms licensee or the type and volume of slips being processed) with our development team. Telemetry information is used internally for product development and marketing analysis and will never include personally identifiable information of any kind.
